On Tuesday March 31st 2003, Laura turned "4" years old!!
We didn't have a party this year - although she still had a wonderful day.

Laura woke up about 7.00 a.m. and patiently waited for Clare to wake up. When Clare woke up at 7.30 a.m. she gave Laura her present of a doll with clothes, a potty and bottles and Laura promptly named her "Mary". I gave her the Barbie clothes from us but she had to wait for Daddy to come home for her big present from us.

The girls had breakfast and got dressed and played and then we went to pick her birthday cake up from the bakery - a Chocolate mudcake, iced with chocolate icing and "Happy Birthday Laura" written in pink icing. We bought it home and attached 4 yellow candles and a plastic ballerina figurine.

They played outside for a bit and then came inside to have something to eat.

At 11.45a.m. we went to Kindergym and all the kids there sang Happy birthday to her.

When we arrived home, Grandma and Great Grandma were here. Debby , Chelsea and Luke arrived shortly after. She played with the kids until they left about 3.30 p.m. The girls rested, watching a video, until Aunty Brenda, Uncle Tony, and cousins Ceri and Scott arrived at 4 p.m. and Daddy arrived home soon after. We gave her the Electronic writing desk then and she loves it.

Nan and Pa came about 4.30 p.m. Aunty Brenda, Uncle Tony and kids left about 5 p.m. And then Aunty Gill and Uncle Paul arrived. They all left at 6 p.m. and so did Daddy, to go to TAFE. I heated the girls up some cocktail frankfurts and gave them some custard. I put Clare in her pyjamas and did dishes, vacuumed and got things ready for Laura for Henry House tomorrow.

At 6.30 p.m. Aunty Lee, and cousins Damien & Elley came over and we had a nice quiet visit with Damien & Elley playing tunes on her writing desk and Laura making up songs.

They left about 7.45 p.m. and I got Laura into her pyjamas and she played with her new toys. Clare fell asleep finally about 8.30 p.m. and Laura finally agreed to go to bed about 9.00 p.m.

I say the same thing every year, but I can't believe she's 4 already!! She was so very good all day even though it was obvious she was exhausted. We had a wonderful day, but I am glad that it is over for another year (or a few months, until Clare's birthday).

As usual she was quite spoilt and received some lovely presents:
